PHYGITAL SUSTAINABILITY EXPO® 2024

The PHYGITAL SUSTAINABILITY EXPO® 2024, European institutional summit on sustainability, took place through a series of panels, conferences and presentations dedicated to exploring cutting-edge ideas, innovations and strategies in the field of sustainability. Here, Prof. Iannilli introduced the MUSA ecosystem and focused on SPOKE 5 Targets T5.9 (Development of an innovative sustainable design-driven retail and service model) and T5.10 (sustainable design-driven retail and service model toolkit) returned part of the sustainable design-driven retail and service model capable of supporting the retail industry in their sustainable and digital transition.

In particular, the talk focused on how retail can become an enabler of more sustainable and circular practices and processes within a servitisation framework, shifting the traditional product-centred approach towards a service-oriented model and adopting the principles of the circular economy (reduce, reuse, recycle and rethink).
